World Cancer Day 2012 300x223 World Cancer Day 2012: India registers 1 million cancer cases every yearFeb 4 is the World Cancer Day. Around 80 percent of men and women are infected by breast cancer when they come to a hospital.

The breast and cervix Cancer are most common among women while men suffer from neck, throat and prostate cancer.

Amongst them urban women are rapidly afflicted with Cancer due to rapid lifestyle changes as delayed reproductive activity, prolonged reproductive period playing hormonal havoc and lack of physical work.

In India, Cancer is rapidly spreading on graph and atleast one million new cancer cases coming up every year in India.

As per the Delhi Cancer Registry data, the number of cancer cases in rural areas is 14.5 per 100,000, whereas in urban areas, it is 26.9 per 100,000.

Shailesh Rao 300x236 Shailesh Rao to join Twitter, quits GoogleThe managing director of Google’s Asia-Pacific operations, Shailesh Rao has left out from Google.

As per his statement , February 3 was his last day and now he is headed as vice-president to hold international operations of world’s largest site Twitter.

The microblogging site Twitter who has around more than 100 millions users had added last month a new feature of 140-character posts to censor tweets on a country-by-country basis.

Now the firm has selected Rao to join Twitter as vice-president for growing its international operations outside the US. This step will enhance revenues from advertisers in Asia and help to compete and win in the battle with other social media networks.

P Chidambaram 300x256 Relief for P Chidambaram as 2G case dismissedToday, trial court dismissed the Swamy’s plea against Home Minister P Chitambaram to make him a co-accused over 2G scam.

Special CBI judge OP Saini delivered his judgment after 1 this afternoon to a packed court-room and has ruled that all the allegations filed against P Chidambaram as tried for criminal culpability in the telecom scam have been rejected.

Announcing his judgment, Judge OP Saini said, “Prayer of Swamy to make Chidambaram an accused is dismissed”.

Reacting on the rejecting of a petition filed against Chidambaram to be made a co-accused in the telecom scam, which was allegedly fathered by A Raja during his infamous term as Telecom Minister, Mr Swamy said that he was surprised by the order and that he announced in his statement that he would approached to High Court within three months against Special CBI Judge OP Saini’s order in the 2G scam.Swamy said, “I am surprised because my evidence against Chidambaram was complete.”

Aarushi Murder Case: Court adjourns hearing till Feb 29

Yet again Arushi murder case hearing has been adjourned by the Ghaziabad court on Saturday till February 29.

The Talwar family has filled a plea to the Supreme Court seeking transfer of their case from Ghaziabad to Delhi. In which they approached the Supreme Court to overrule the verdict of a lower court that rejects their plea on January 6, 2012 against the CBI to make them the main accused in the case.

Arushi’s father Dr Rajesh and mother, Nupur Talwar both are accused in their daughter’s murder case.

Aarushi, 14-year-old was found dead at her bedroom at Noida residence on May 16, 2008. The police thought that Hemraj, the Talwars’ domestic help, could be the prime suspect, but Hemraj’s dead body was also found on the apartment’s terrace the next day.

Moreover, the director-producer made tremendous movies such as Deewana, Laadla, Jeet, Daag: The Fire, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke and Andaaz. His last Bollywood film was launched in 2010 nemaed, ‘Saadiyaan’, where he introduced Shatrughan Sinha’s son Luv.

Shah Rukh, who started his career with Kanwar’s 1992 film Deewana led the tribute to the director on Twitter.

Some fresh reports have said that yesterday night the top social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook were abuzz with rumours of Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar’s death.

In addition to this such rumour was also forwarded with the help of free messaging services such as BBM and WhatsApp and by way of forwarded text messages.

On the other hand, Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar clarified on Twitter that she was in good health.

In her post on Twitter, Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar writes, “Namaskar. Pls (sic) don’t believe any rumours (…) All is well, by the Grace of God.”

Sahara India Withdraws 300x253 Sahara India withdraws its sponsorship from Team India The biggest breaking news of the morning is that Sahara India has announced to withdrawn their sponsorship from Indian cricket team as well as their ownership from IPL franchise Pune Warriors.

Reports have said that this happened after the Sahara denied replacement for Yuvraj Singh for the upcoming IPL season five matches.

The press release issued by Sahara states that they are withdrawing from all cricket under BCCI. Meanwhile, the Sahara India earlier urged BCCI to pass on Pune Warriors team to some other interested party immediately.

In the meantime, the real deal of Sahara India with BCCI ends in 2010 after the company invested around Rs 400 crore on team India in four-years of period.

2G Scam: SC Judge to hear Chidambaram matter at 12:15pm

On the basis of plea filled by Janata Party Chief Subramanian Swamy, the Supreme Court had cancelled all the 122 telecom licenses on Friday that allocated by former communications minister A Raja to eight telecom companies.

And the Court left the issue whether “Chidambaram should be made co-accused or not” to the trial court of Special CBI in Delhi to decide on Swamy’s plea.

The apex court had cancelled the 122 telecom licenses without found any involvement as a part of the Prime Minister and P Chidambaram. Then it left the case to the lower court and asked not to get influenced by its decision.
