 CPC Congress’s new leadership to start closing session

A New round of China’s ruling Communist Party is going to start on Wednesday with closing session of its 18th National Congress in wake of debut of next generation of leadership on Thursday for the next ten year leadership.

The meeting started with delegates of Congress which are 2,307 in numbers attending the meeting to elect new Chinese Congress Committee along with new Central Commission for Discipline Inspection for indiscipline and corruption cases.

Chinese President and CPC General Secretary Hu Jintao was addressed the meeting at the Great Hall of the People. It has been expected that party will also put out its amendments to the CPC Constitution and also pass resolutions on the report of the 17th CPC Central Committee, source said.

Reports further said that the establishment of newly Central Committee will resulted elimination of some members while CPC’s 25-member Politburo and Politburo Standing Committee will be selected. After a decade presiding, Hu Jintao is likely to eliminate as CPC General Secretary, replacing by Xi Jinping, Chinese Vice President who will hold his post as President in March.
