Congress leader N. D. Tiwari who is facing the paternity suit of a man claiming to be his son, has to appear in court to give blood sample for a DNA test.

The Delhi High Court today asked Tiwari to appear in person before it to give blood sample on May 26 that decides the paternity suit.

“Defendant number 1 (Tiwari) is directed to appear on May 26 at 12 noon along with his two photographs,” Joint Registrar of Delhi High Court, Deepak Garg, said, according to source.

For blood sampling, the court directed the medical chief of the dispensary, located inside it to appoint a doctor on May 26.

The registrar said, Tiwari “be given an opportunity to voluntarily comply with the order.”

Refusing the high court Justice Reva Khetrapal’s 16th May appeal to take police assistance for Tiwari, registrar said that the court should not rush to take police assistance for bringing the defiant veteran Congress leader and enforcing its order.

According to source report, after being informed that the requisite DNA kit has been received by the High Court registry from Hyderabad-based lab Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), the court has directed its order.

Any delay in implementation of court’s order of taking the blood sample would result “an irreparable loss is bound to visit the plaintiff”.

One who behind the court’s direction is Rohit Shekhar who judicial declared that Mr. Tiwari is his biological father. And court’s order came on his plea seeking to compel Mr. Tiwari to provide his blood sample as earlier as possible so that the four-year-old paternity suit will have to over.

Kar Sewa construction of a memorial for the “sacrifice” of several Sikhs those killed during the Indian Army’s Operation Bluestar- an army action to flush out militants from the complex in 1984, commenced on Sunday at the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar.

In a fresh turn in the Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case, the main accused and the mother of Aarushi, Dentist Nupur Talwar has announced in media, along with her husband Rajesh Talwar that she is now willing to adopt a girl child.

The statement came from Nupur Talwar around four years after the horrible murder of her teenage daughter at her Noida residence in 2008.

It is said in reports today morning that the doctor couple claimed that the girl child which Nupur wants to adopt is lodged in the Dasna Jail with her mother where the Nupur Talwar is presently staying.

However taking care of all the legal actions and other condition, the dentist will be able to adopt the girl child only when she moves out of the jail.

In the meantime, Nupur Talwar has been staying in Dasna jail ever since she surrendered before the special CBI court after the saying of the Supreme Court after her repeated failure to appear before the court to face trial in the murder case.

Nupur’s stay in Dasna jail has been increased after the Allahabad High Court on May 16 deferred the hearing on her bail plea to May 22.

Mother of Aarushi, Nupur is the main accused in the 2008 twin murders of her teenage daughter Aarushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj.

Aarushi, 14-years-old, was found dead with her throat slit at her Noida residence on May 16, 2008. The body of the domestic help was recovered from the terrace a day later.

IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), the joint entrance examination for the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology in which 5.07 lakhs aspirants registered was conducted by seven IITs on April 8, amongst total, his year around 1.69 lakhs was girl candidates.

The result of entrance was declared on Friday, around 24,112 have secured ranks in various categories and 19,426 have been shortlisted for counseling for admission to 9,647 seats in the IITs, according to JEE Chairman GD Reddy.

The list of the first seat allotment would be published on the web on June 14 and the second on June 15, and the final would be out on July 6, as per source report.

Earlier last month in Parliament, much controversy has regarding cartoons row. Once again it fired out while a TV reporter asked West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee about cartoon row and she lost her temper during interacting session.

On Friday, while her attending an interactive TV session, few members of audience asked her about the arrest of accused professor Ambikesh Mahapatra who had lampooned her by publishing her cartoon photo.

Banerjee suddenly lost her calm, stormed out and said in an aggressive way, “It is not a cartoon. We love the cartoon. Cartoon is a different thing. He is a CPI-M man, He misused the e-mail of his society people without their consent. He forwarded it to 60 people.”

As per her, the professor was not an intellectual, but a “CPI-M agent” and the message in the cartoon is a murder conspiracy for her, supported by CPI-M who had sent thousands of CDs to her after election.

“What he has done is a cyber crime. It is not a cartoon, it is a political conspiracy to murder me,” Banerjee told audience.

Banerjee has totally disappointed by this controversial row that makes her ashamed on CPI-M. She claimed that CPI-M is working with Maoists, though her government is a democratic, “Otherwise, he (Ambikesh) should have been in custody”.

“He has done a wrong thing. He misused the e-mail. I know that Maoist people and CPI-M are putting up these questions,” she said during an interactive session, according to source.

However, this was the Banerjee who had supported the Maoists at the national level. But during session, she strongly refused this and told the moderator that her govt. “did not support the Maoists. This is wrong.”

And one twist that heating the situation more is of taking name of Former Lok Sabha Speaker P.A. Sangma for Presidential candidature as tribal leader.

Sangma who had earlier demanded to chose the President this time from the Scheduled Tribes community, has backing support of the BJD and AIADMK, but pulled by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief and also the Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar.

The NCP said Sangma tried to protect himself as a Presidential candidate by getting support of the Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK with that he had a meeting in Chennai. It made it clear that it couldn’t aspire for such a big post as it didn’t have the numbers, source said.

Three days ago, Sangma sent letters to all leaders of parties regarding holding a meeting in Chennai on 15 May in which Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Jailalithaa also presented.

While asking about meeting, he said, “I am glad that Naveen Patnaik and Jayalalitha have come out in my support. I am meeting all political parties. We want a tribal President. Pranab Mukherjee is competent but time has come for a President from the Scheduled Tribes community.”

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has top in support of Sangma’s candidature for the Presidency. After a day of meeting, consulting with Patnaik along within her party, she appealed all parties to support the tribal leader for the highest office of the Republic of India.

“I now appeal to all political parties to rise above political considerations and support Sangma and ensure that he becomes the next President of India,” she said in her appeal.

On the issue of disowned his attempts to enter the Presidential race by Pawar, he said, “Nothing of that sort happened”. “Any tribal leader can become the next president that is what we are trying to achieve, he added.

A special nine-member team of CBI who is probing the illegal mining case, on Wednesday conducted raid at the residences of former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and his kin in Bangalore and Shimoga, being alleged in connection with the multi-crore mining scam.

“Our teams are searching for certain documents in the residences of Yeddyurappa and his relatives in Bangalore and Shimoga. The search is still on,” a senior CBI official told source reporters.

Searching move came just few hours while the agency has registered an FIR on the Supreme Court’s order against Yeddyurappa and his sons – BY Raghavendra and BY Vijayendra – and son-in-law Sohan Kumar under the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 and various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Raids are on eight places in state including Yeddyurappa’s Dollars’ Colony home and his Shimoga home.

A CBI official said, “The Supreme Court has ordered a specific probe against Yeddyurappa. It is about the funding received by an NGO run by Yeddyurappa’s family. The NGO was funded by mining and industrial companies.”

Following Supreme Court 11 May’s order for a special investigation by the CBI against him, another graft charge is of receiving funding of Rs.2.5 crore by Bhagat Homes Ltd and Rs.3.5 crore by Dhavalgiri Property Developers Ltd, run by Yeddyuppa’s kin.

Presently, Yeddyruppa is facing tough time in political considerations and it has been said that he has put down his decision to quit from the politician.

Moreover, being efforts for his reinstatement as Chief Minister and resolving issues, Yeddyruppa has targeted Karnataka Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda by accusing him of insulting and casting aspersions on him.

Being accused for 15 months, a long period of passing in jail in 2G spectrum allocation scam case, Former telecom minister A Raja, on Tuesday ready to walk on the street of public as special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court granted his bail and after few hours freed him from Tihar Jail.

CBI court’s judge O P Saini granted bail of Raja on a surety of Rs 25 lakh and would not try to influence any witnesses while on bail. Along with this, court also restricted his entry in Tamil Nadu without court’s permission and also directed not to visit the office of the Department of Telecom (DoT).

“Considering the progress of the trial, period of custody and the fact that all other accused have been released on bail, I am of the opinion that further detention of the accused will not serve any purpose,” Judge Saini said in his order.

49-year-old Raja was arrested on February, 2011 in connection with the 2G scam and there were other 13 co-accused who have secured bail from the Court.

Raja was the only one who did not apply for bail, but after 15 months he sought bail on the ground of parity as former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura whose bail had granted by Supreme Court

Being claimed that the case against him is “false and fabricated” and “not sustainable in law” he said that both, he and Behura were facing similar charges of abetment, conspiracy and criminal breach of trust, then why his bail not to be granted.

A strong opposed appeal had made by the intelligence agency against Raja’s bail, being charged with serious case. CBI said, DMK –run Kalaignar TV was being accused of getting bribe of Rs 200 crore from Shahid Balwa’s DB Group as a quid pro quo for favours shown by Raja in spectrum allocation, source said.

During allegations, CBI had also claimed that Raja had linked with Mauritius-based Delphi Investment Ltd, in which Reliance Telecom Ltd exchanged its shares and said if released on bail at this stage, he might tamper with evidence.

The judge said that the entire evidence in the case is documentary in nature and the same is in the custody of the court. He directed Raja to surrender his passport after CBI objected Raja’s bail and trying to search more evidence.

According to source report, 14 persons who are facing trial in 2G scam case along with Raja are – Raja’s private secretary RK Chandolia, Behura, DMK MP Kanimozhi, corporate leaders – Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani, group’s MD Gautam Doshi, ADAG group President Surendra Pipara and Senior Vice President Hari Nair, Unitech MD Sanjay Chandra and Swan Telecom promoters Shahid Usman Balwa and Vinod Goenka , Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar, Director of Cineyug Media and Entertainment Pvt Ltd Karim Morani and Directors of Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd Asif Balwa and Rajeev Agarwal.

They all are accused for charges of cheating, forgery, criminal conspiracy and corruption besides criminal breach of trust that entails a maximum punishment of life imprisonment. Moreover, three telecom firms – Swan Telecom Pvt Ltd, Reliance Telecom Ltd and Unitech Wireless (Tamil Nadu) Pvt Ltd, are also facing trial in the case.
