As per media information, in a late night operation, two were arrested from Tirunelveli from a lodge in Chennai, while third was from Madurai.

Reports added that the trio had facilitated the blast while the main culprits were still at large.

The arrest is being held with the assistance of Tamil Nadu counterparts,  and now the suspects are taken to Bangalore for further investigation, sources added.

As per media reports, Baig had role in the German Bakery blast in Pune’s upmarket Koregaon Park where 17 people left dead in February 2010.

After more than six months from terror attack, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad nabbed Baig from Udgir, reports added.

Baig was found guilty in the case, but it has to say that terrorist would move to Bombay High Court to challenge the verdict.

Following are the mercy petitions dismissed by President Pranab Mukherjee.

Gurmeet Singh of Uttar Pradesh, convicted for killing 13 members of a family on August 17, 1986.

Then comes, Dharampal from Haryana, he killed 5 members of the family of a girl he had raped in 1993.

Further, Daughter of ex-MLA from Haryana, Sonia, and her husband, Sanjeev, who killed eight of her family members in Hisar in 2001.

Suresh and Ramji from Uttar Pradesh, who were convicted for killing five members of their brother’s family.

Other cases which were on the President’s desk are as follows:

Jafar Ali from Uttar Pradesh, who was convicted for killing wife and five daughters in 2002.

Sunder Singh from Uttarakhand, who was convicted for rape and murder in June 1989.

Praveen Kumar of Karnataka, who was convicted for killing four members of a family on February 23, 1994.

Further, the social activist urged the people to elect representatives with clean image in next Lok Sabha polls.

Anna Hazare, whose Janatantra Yatra reached Jalandhar on Sunday evening, said, “Politicians are elected to serve the public but they take the role of robbers once they enter Parliament and state assemblies and rob people of their wealth.”

Then, talking about the importance of Lokpal Bill, Hazare said, “Jan Lokpal Bill is important for a corruption-free India and this is the reason the corrupt politicians won’t allow it to be passed…. Rise from your slumber. Don’t let them cheat you any longer.”

Hazare, however, urged people to vote for politicians with a clean image, who can serve the people instead of ruling them. He said, “163 members and 15 ministers are tainted in the present Parliament. It is for you to understand whether their priority will be to try to wash off their taint or serve you.”

Former Indian Army Chief, General VK Singh, also touring with Anna Hazare, said, “The country is corruption ridden. Politicians try to divide us on caste, religion and regional lines and we are foolish enough to fall prey to it. So it is important that we wake up and elect the right people who can serve the nation.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Janatantra Yatra’ arrived in Ludhiana on its 2nd day on Monday amidst tight security.

Talking to media, Hazare said that he will announce a ‘Jan Sansad’ in Delhi after 5 months to chalk out the future strategy of the movement.

Hazare said, “It (Jan Sansad) will have representatives of all sections of the society.”

He said, “Several important issues like the right to recall elected representatives, the role of the movement in the next Lok Sabha elections are part of his yatra. The basic unit of the Jan Sansad is the village.”

Earlier, social activist Anna Hazare visited the Namdhari Shaheedi Samark here where he paid rich tributes to the Namdhari (a Sikh sect) martyrs.

Booking two Italian Marines Massimiliano Latore and Salvatore Girone under Section 302 (murder) of IPC, NIA is seek to file charges against them that could lead to death penalty, source said.

Indicated a fresh row with Italy as two marines were allowed sent back to India after Indian government written assurance of not to arrest them and not imposed death punishment.

In another development, Centre seeks to held trial of marines in an NIA court and no need of a separate special court for them, source said.

The next hearing of the matter would be on 16 April, reports also hinted that the trial is likely to be conducted at the Patiala House Courts in Delhi.

However, the agency is seeking to change the charges from Section 302 to Section 304, culpable homicide not amounting to murder, even a decision to file an FIR yet to be taken.

Today the court lifted its ban imposed on Italian envoy Daniele Mancini from leaving India, following the international diplomatic row over Italian marines accused for killing of two Kerala fishermen in February 2012.

The court had allowed marines to travel home to vote in Italy election, but Rome refused to send back turned a bitter row between India-Italy. Over India’s deadline to send back both within four weeks, Italy reversed its decision returned marines in India on March22.

Rejecting the Sports Ministry’s appeal to test Vijender for heroin, NADA an autonomous body  said that it violated World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) guidelines, source said.

NADA can only test for performance enhancing drugs, not heroin for which a forensic lab would be need which NADA does not have.

Police who challenged ‘Vijender should be in lab for 24 hours’ was advised  by the District Attorney of Fatehgarh Saheb against collecting the Olympic boxer’s blood and hair samples for a forensic testing.

After refusal of dope, now police sough to move court to get samples of Vijender Singh’s hair and blood, reports added.

Vijender had consumed heroin 12 times, while Ram Singh for 5 times, police said, but need him tested to substantiate their claims.

From last March, Vijender and his sparring partner Ram Singh are under scrutiny in the Mohali drug haul case after Punjab Police seized drugs worth Rs 130 crore from alleged NRI Smuggler Anoop Singh Kahlon’s home in Zirakpur. The car of Vijender’s wife was found nearby Kahlon’s house.

Kahlon is under police custody admitted to supply drug to both champions and used as a “money bag”, but still police did not find any proof against Vijender and Ram Singh in drug trafficking.

Slapping with charges of domestic violence from his wife, Mr. Ganesh Kumar, the lone representative of the Kerala Congress (Pillai) in the Congress-led UDF ministry, forced to resign immediately as FIR is going to register against him.

In a dramatic way, Kumar’s wife Yamini Thankachi said herself the victim of domestic violence for the last 16 years, went public on Monday with filling a complaint against him under the domestic violence act, reports said.

Kumar’s wife, a medical doctor called a press conference, accused Kumar ill-treatment, physically assault and mental torture.

She also criticised Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy for protecting her husband hushing up a domestic violence case.

The dispute went public with Kumar filing a divorce petition in a local court, denied allegations.

He told reporters of being blackmailed and manhandled by his wife and therefore filed for divorce alleging physical abuse.
