The Mumbai police have broke up a rave party on a Juhu hotel on Sunday evening and detained around 96 people including 2 IPL players and several foreign nationals.

Further, it is said that they also detained 2 IPL players along with couple of children of celebrities.

While talking to media, zonal DCP Pratap Dighavkar said, “We found 58 men and 38 women at the rave party at Oakwood Premier Hotel on J R Mhatre Road near Juhu beach.”

It is said in police statement that it recovered 110 gm of cocaine, besides Ecstasy tablets and charas.

An official from police said that it has registered two types of cases, one for possession and the other for consumption of proscribed drugs.

Further, Mumbai Police told media that all the youths were sent to various hospitals for their blood and urine samples tests.

Police statement said, “The party was being held on the open terrace of the hotel. We acted around 8 pm on the basis of a tip-off. A decoy had been sent to the party and we acted after a green signal from him.”

Additional commissioner Vishwas Nangre Patil, who supervised the raid said, “All those youngsters whose identities have been confirmed will be sent back home. If their blood and urine reports are positive for drugs, only then will they be called and taken into custody.”

Now, the Mumbai Police is recording the statements and other required details. The drugs seized have been sent for analysis to the forensic science laboratory at Kalina.

The Indian Premier League 2012 [IPL 2012] is very disappointing for the Pune Warriors India as well as skipper Sourav Ganguly.

But the PWI’s skipper Sourav Ganguly feels that any “post-mortem” about his team’s performance in the this season’s DLF IPL need not to be done right now.

While talking to media, the former Indian cricket team skipper, Ganguly said, “Any post-mortem that needs to be done should be done after some time. Right now, the boys need to get away from here and go back to their respective homes. It’s very hard for them too. They have selected to win matches and that hasn’t happened. It’s a new franchise and things will only get better from here on. We need to look at a lot of things like team selections.”

When asked about his future in the IPL, he said, “I haven’t thought about it.”

On the other hand, the Kolkata Knight Riders [KKR] skipper Gautam Gambhir told media that they had treated this match against PWI as a quarterfinal match.

He said, “We knew that this was a virtual quarter-final for us. Now we would like to win the next two matches and win the tournament. Finishing in the top two gives us two chances to qualify for the final which is a good thing.”

Earlier, KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir won the toss and elected to bat first. KKR started well and scored 136 runs in the 20 overs. This is not a very good total in the Twenty20 cricket, and once it looked that PWI can win the match.

But, spin bowling attack of KKR has done their job very nicely and an all-round performance from Shakib al Hasan has helped KKR to win the match.

The 69th match of the Indian Premier League [IPL] between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils has ended with a win for Delhi daredevils over the KXIP by 6 wickets.

With this win, Delhi has topped the points tally with 22 points and last hope of Kings XI Punjab to make their ways into playoffs has ended.

An America-based woman, Zohail Hameed, who was allegedly molested by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cricketer Luke Pomersbach has issued notice to the RCB teams director and Vijay Mallya’s son, Sidhartha Mallya seeking his apology for his tweets questioning her character.

The American woman has sought Sidhartha Mallya’s unconditional apology, her advocate Jitender Garg agve the information to media this morning.

While talking to media, Mr. Garg said, “A legal notice is issued to Sidhartha Mallya for his twitter comment. We will wait for his reply. And if he refuses to apologise, we will file a defamation case against him.”

Earlier on Friday, RCB owner Sidhartha Mallya posted on his social networking site, twitter saying, “The girl who is accusing Luke is saying he hit her ‘fiance’… what a load of f****** s***. She was all over me last night and asked for my bbm (blackberry messenger) pin, so if he was her fiance she wasn’t exactly behaving like a future wife.”

However, Australian cricketer Luke Pomersbach has found guilty to have molested the woman at the ITC Maurya Hotel here early Friday morning and beaten her fiance Sahil Peerzada.

In connection to this, the Delhi Police registered a case of molestation against the RCN Cricketer, who was later released on bail by a city court.

The Mumbai Cricket Association [MCA] has today said in its reports that it banned Kolkata Knight Riders [KKR] co-owner and Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan from entering the Wankhede Stadium for five years for misbehaving with MCA officials and neglecting the rules of the stadium.

Further, the decision was taken at the MCA Managing Committee meeting, which was called to have brief discussion on this matter, which reveals that the actor is involved in a misbehave with the security officials and other officials after the KKR beats MI on Wednesday night.

Talking to media, MCA President Vilasrao Deshmukh said, “Our association was sending out a message that misbehaviour of any kind would not be tolerated.”

He said, “If rules are violated, action will be taken. It does not depend who the individual is. It’s a message to everyone whosoever he or she may be that stern action will be taken if there is any misbehaviour.”

On the other side, Shahrukh had denied all such allegations that he misbehaved with any official that night. He said that he acted only after children, including his kids, were “manhandled” by the security staff.

“How can he go inside the ground without proper accreditation. Even I can’t go inside the ground if not invited for presentation ceremony,” said Vilasrao Deshmukh.

He said, “We have handed a five-year ban on him and it was a unanimous decision. It applies to any match whether domestic or international at the Wankhede.”

When asked by a reporter that if BCCI can undo this ban on Shahrukh, he said, “We have taken a decision to protect the dignity of our association. BCCI is our parent body and we have written to them informing what had happened. We have no control over BCCI’s decision. We are also an independent body with the Wankhede being our property.”

Though, the IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla has said that the final decision will be taken by the BCCI.

Talking to media in New Delhi, Rajiv Shukla said, “State bodies can only recommend but a final decision has to be taken by the BCCI. When the matter comes to BCCI, the Board will decide (on the ban)”

Meanwhile, MCA President Vilasrao Deshmukh told media that many officials from MCA were present at the center when SRK misbehaved and they all expressed their strong view against him.

“There were a lot of MCA officials present at the time of fracas. Nothing more was needed to prove that he (Khan) misbehaved. The Assistant Commissioner of Police himself was present and he said Khan was drunk,” said Mr. Deshmukh.

When asked that is there any chance of the ban being removed, he said, “There is no question of that.Khan did not make any representation to us, nor apologise. He could also have filed a police complaint but he did not do that.”

He said, “Whether BCCI, IPL or MCA, such kind of misbehaviour cannot be tolerated. We have also filed a police complaint and it’s upto the police to act now.”

In the meantime, the BCCI Chief Administrative Officer Ratnakar Shetty has told media that the Board has received a complaint from the MCA regarding the Shahrukh brawl at Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday night.

Ratnakar Shetty said, “The BCCI has got a complaint from the MCA. We will see to it. We will also think of some measures from the next IPL onwards to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future.”

He said, “This is an unprecedented situation. We have never come across such incidents in the last five years at the Wankhede Stadium. It was extreme restrain shown by the MCA officials in the face of abusive language being hurled on them. They should be appreciated.”
