Targeting a kick start in Indian electric car market segment, Reva hinted to debut the first electric car of India anytime from now in this month, may be mid of March.

Though the electric car Reva NXR was unveiled at the Auto Expo held in January 2012, but to ensure safety over new technology to India, the launch took long time to land in market.

Seeking to be skeptical of the industry, Reva E20 with its new specs shaping the future of all such products launched henceforth is expected to become the toughest load of cars coming in.

The company claimed, new E20 will use next generation Lithium Ion batteries, providing eco-system with Sun2Car solar technology, and clean mobility solutions.

Framing with a plastic, light-weight body, Reva E20 has a range of 100 kms on a full charge with more power, high per charge run, less recharging time and enough room for four people.

E 20 will be much affordable to maintain, enable users to carry out self fuelling, but pricewise it would be little costlier than the others, while price is yet to be announced.

In a statement issued by the company, it said, “To pep up the market in the slow moving car bazaar, car market leader Maruti Suzuki has introduced an exciting limited edition of its popular model Estilo as EstiloNlive.”

It is further that the new EstiloNlive has comes loaded with features like double-din sound system with USB, leather seat covers, dual tone interiors, body graphics, full wheel covers and beige parcel tray.

Further, the company said, “The full package of 14 new features on the EstiloNlive is worth Rs 23,000 and it is being provided at a special customer offer price of Rs 15,000.”

During the launch of limited edition of EstiloNlive, Maruti Suzuki India Vice President (Marketing) Manohar Bhat said, “In recent months, we have had good success with limited editions of some of our recent models such as Wagon R, A-star and Alto. We are confident that the EstiloNlive will be liked by the customers for its attractive new feature list.”

It is said the newly launched vehicle is powered by a 998 cc K10B petrol engine, which will provide it a mileage of 19kmpl as tested by ARAI.

XJ Ultimate, firstly unveiled at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show is now on sale in India through completely built unit (CBU) route.

Honda has slashed prices of its flagship CRV to strengthen its position in Indian market.

It has been said that the company has set price of Honda CR-V from starting Rs.19.95 lakh, less Rs 2.7 lakh from previous model.

In Europe, Honda will offer a 1.6 liter i-DTEC diesel engine CR-V next month after introducing at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March.

As per reports, CR-V with small engine offers a six-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission with 13.7 km on a litre, while larger engine comes with the 5-speed auto with 12 km.

Meanwhile Honda CR-V will come in four variants two are new and other two are come with slashed price rates. The new 2 litre automatic available at price of Rs.20.85 lakh and 2.4 litre automatic with touchscreen comes for Rs 23.85 lakh.

GM’s latest Chevrolet Sail sedan is the second model launch in Indian market is available in both petrol and diesel variants.

“The eagerly anticipated Sail is an important addition to GM’s sedan line-up in India. It competes in one of the largest and fastest-growing segments,” Lowell Paddock, President and Managing Director, GM India told reporters while launching.

The car Audi R8, costing Rs.1.8 crore burnt during prestigious two-day Fifth Mumbai Parx Supercar Show-2013 from the Mahalaxmi Race Course.

However, cause of the fire was unknown, but the company said that fire might have due to some modifications made to the car which heat its engine enough caused catch fire.

Audi R8 was totally damaged, only small parts are used to identify it.

As the fire broke out shortly, fire brigade rushed there and prevent incident from any casualties.

Two persons travelling in the car including car driver came out safely, reports said.

Over a hundred of the most expensive cars took part in this sport rally and organisers denied the luxury model was a participant.

Although investigations are carried on as it was not immediately clear that whether the burnt Audi R8 was part of the car show.

Now the company will launch the 2013 model in India, Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee, source said.

If we talk about pricing, media reports said that Jeep Wrangler will land in market at price range starting from Rs 30 lakhs, while Grand Cherokee will starting at price of Rs 45 lakhs.
