Facebook just sent event invitations to the media, making an announcement next week, on April 4.

The event would be held on its headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., again and this time to show “new home on Android.”

However, no indication is what to unveils, but it has to say that the launch could be a new Android phone or a new Android app, hinting Google’s mobile OS will play a leading role.

“Come See [Its] New Home on Android,” reads Facebook invitation message via e-mail to media.

Sources said that Facebook will launch phone software based on Google’s Android operating system that has “extra Facebook functionality built in”, and interestingly, the software will be from HTC handset.

Both Sony Xperia E and Xperia E dual sports a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen and are powered by a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor with Adreno 200 graphics processing unit.

The devices come with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card, offering a 3.2MP rear auto focus camera along with VGA.

Over pricing, Xperia E has made available at price of Rs. 9,990 and is available in Black, Pink and White variants, while Xperia E Dual is priced for Rs.10,990 in Black and Champagne colours.

Ericsson has moved to Delhi High Court, claiming Micromax’s failure in consensus after three years negotiation agreement which whopping Rs. 100 crore in damages.

As per company, Micromax has refused to sign necessary licences for products compliant with the GSM, EDGE and 3G standards.

Micromax, on High Court orders,  agreed to pay interim payment between 1.25% and 2% of sale price as royalty of the sale price of disputed devices. There was a FRAND (fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory) licence agreement to negotiate which would be valid till the next hearing, source said.

Ericsson is the biggest patent-holders in the mobile phone industry with major companies, while Micromax riding the success of its recent disputed devices. However their legal dispute may heat up the market as Ericsson is reportedly plan to take its next charge against some of other Indian handset makers.

HTC One has been delayed due to shortage of supply at least two key components for the smartphone.

Heins said a lack of innovation at Apple has left iPhone’s user interface outdated. He says users have to go in and out of applications and it doesn’t allow for multitasking.
