The petrol price has been cut by the central government for the second in the same month by Rs 2.46 per liter into effect from Thursday midnight.
The fall in petrol prices was announced by three oil companies, which are Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) respectively. Read more
As per reports, the “500MW gas-fired power plant” project in Tamil Nadu approved by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Friday.
During Assembly speech, she granted application of setting up project the Tamil Nadu in which fuel will be supplied from Gas Authority of India’s Kochi-Bangalore pipeline. Read more
The social activist Anna Hazare and his team members are all set to go for on-day long protest tomorrow in New Delhi at Jantar Mantar.
The Delhi Police is also gearing up to take all required measures of it. A senior police officer told media that around 1000 police personnel will be deputed at the location of protest tomorrow.
In the meantime, Delhi police have allowed conditional permission to Anna Hazare and Team Anna for the protest. Team Anna will be holding protest against the killing of honest men and officers by illegal activities, mafia people and other terror activities. Read more
