As per latest political news, the Finance Minister of the country, P Chidambaram offered two responses today when media tried to get his reaction an the fellow Tamil Nadu politician and DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s suggestion that he was a potential candidate for Prime Minister.

P Chidambaram said, “I know my limitations. And I live and conduct myself according to my limitations.”

However, later the Finance Minister said that it was his serious answer. If reporters expected a light-heated statement from me, then, “I tell you this: I know that some of you think I am foolish. But I am not so foolish as you think.”

Though, the Finance Minister P Chidambaram gave the above statement with a smile on his face.

Earlier, M Karunanidhi at the launch of a book function on December 30, 2012 has said that he supported a suggestion by actor Kamal Haasan that P Chidambaram should be Prime Minister.

The book Mr. M Karunanidhi released was a compilation of opinions on the Finance Minister. Further, Karumanidhi said that the Finance Minister of the country is one of the few who had a “place in my heart.”

Meanwhile, Karunanidhi’s DMK is the biggest ally of the Congress and P Chidambaram’s party in the United Progressive Alliance [UPA] government.
