Kejriwal axes Khurshid on scam, to ‘Gherao’ Sonia’s residence

Targeting Congress, anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal now move its point Robert Vadra to Law Minister Salman Khurshid, demanding his resignation by following allegations of irregularities of Rs 71 lakh grabbed by his NGO run for handicapped people welfare.

However, Khejriwal also warned that he will march towards the residence of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Friday in wake of “Gherao” protest with another demand of Khurshid resignation from the Cabinet.

“Money bungling in the NGO floated by the Law Minister’s wife is a matter of shame. It is unfortunate to have such Law Minister in the country. We demand resignation of the Law Minister and immediate arrest of his wife. We will gherao Sonia Gandhi’s residence asking for Khurshid’s resignation,” Kejriwal said, as per source.

The move came after a TV string operation claimed that NGO, Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust, which is registered at Mr Khushid’s government residence in New Delhi, had grabbed several lakhs of rupees of the physically handicapped by forging signatures of Uttar Pradesh government officials in several districts.

Khurshid’s wife Louise Khurshid who is also NGO’s chief functionary dismissed all allegations, saying, it was “devoid of any merit, and is false, malicious and baseless”.
