As per latest reports, youngest son of the former Slain Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, Khamis has killed due to having wounded in gunfiring with government forces in the town of Bani Walid.
During clashes of town’s pro-Gaddafi garrison with forces on Saturday in the town of Bani Walid, about 170 km southeast of the Libyan capital Tripoli, Khamis had injuries and died, the Libyan national congress’ spokesperson Omar Hamidan confirmed.
Delhi Police has released today the detained IAC activist Arvind Kejriwal along with 400 supporters, but not ending Khejriwal protest as the activist said to continue his protest at Parliament Street till the resignation of Law Minister Salman Khurshid not signed by PM Manmohan Singh.
Khejriwal were arrested yesterday along with handicapped supporters at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Bawana and sent in a makeshift jail on the outskirts of the Outer Delhi after stroking a protest march towards Mr. Singh’s residence. They tried to meet PM raising demand of resignation of Khurshid along with his wife Louise for alleged irregularities forging funding in NGO run by both, Khurshid and his wife. Read more
The top news of the morning reveals that the West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banjerjee has announced in a press conference last night that her party will withdraw its support from the United Progressive Alliance [UPA] Govt at the Centre.
However, Mamata Banerjee also said that she may reconsider on it if the central govt would get ready to hold talks in some recent refoms. Read more
India and Pakistan Saturday signed an agreement that will ease the visa restrictions on people from both countries.
The agreement was signed between Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna, who is on a three-day visit to Pakistan.
“This is the sign of friendship,” Malik said after the signing ceremony. Read more
