According to the fresh reports from the world of cricket, Indian medium fast bowler Praveen Kumar has been ruled out of the upcoming test series against Australia after fracturing a rib.
The declaration was made by an official from the Indian Cricket Board.
While talking to media, an official from the board said, “Praveen Kumar underwent a scan last evening and was found to have a featured rib as per the report that came through today.”
Further, talking to media, he said, “he is expected to recover in five-six weeks and has therefore been ruled out of the ongoing one day series against the West Indies as well as the Test series in Australia that follows.”
In the meantime, the replacement for the bowler in the team will be announced on December 5.
If talked about Praveen Kumar, he has played six test matches so far and talking 27 wickets and 69 wickets in 61 ODIs.
Karnataka medium pacer Abhimanyu Mithun was announced as a replacement for Praveen for the first three ODIs against the West Indies.
R Vinay Kumar, Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron are now the part of Indian Cricket team. The hosts, who won the three-match Test series 2-0 against West Indies, have also rested Sachin Tendulkar, Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and hard-hitting batsman Yuvraj Singh for the one-dayers.
After the first match in Cuttack on Tuesday, there will be games in Visakhapatnam (December 2), Ahmedabad (December 5), Indore (December 8) and Chennai (December 11).
