The Bollywood actress Vidya Balan expressed her happiness as she was named as the brand ambassador for the Indian Film Festival for the 2nd time to be held in Melbourne, Australia in April next year.
Earlier, the actress was also named as the brand ambassador for Victoria’s Indian Film Festival. She said that she is happy to be the face of Indian Film Festival for the 2nd time in a row.
Viday Balan said, “I feel extremely proud to be appointed brand ambassador of the Indian film festival of Melbourne for the second time in a row. Thank you very much the State of Victoria, the honorable minister. It’s wonderful to have met you.”
In the upcoming film festival in Melbourne, it will celebrate and showcase the depth and diversity of the Indian cinema.
The Indian Film Festival in Melbourne will also pay tribute to late filmmaker Yash Chopra who died last week in Mumbai.
Talking to media, Victoria’s Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business, and Minister for Tourism and Major Events, Louise Asher said, “I had also officially planned to announce here this evening that Mr. Yash Chopra had generously agreed to visit Melbourne next year as a special guest of the film festival. In order of that the festival will pay special and rich tribute to Mr. Chopra and his amazing career with the retrospective of his films showcase some of his master pieces.”
The film festival will result good relations and understanding between the Victorian and Indian film industries.
