According to latest entertainment news, actor Anil Kapoor has been invited for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) starting from January 21.
Meanwhile, actor Anil Kapoor feels honoured with the invitation in TIFF.
Anil Kapoor had grabbed international recognization after he worked in Danny Boyle’s “Slumdog Millionaire”, the film and Anil Kapoor’s work earned much praise.
Anil Kapoor has been invited for a special segment ‘In Conversation’ at the TIFF.
Talking to media, the actor said, “Yes I have been invited by TIFF and will be attending the event. I am very glad and honoured to get an invitation for this event.”
He will be the first Indian actor to attend the TIFF, where a 20-minute long discussion will be held with the actor over his films
On the other hand, Anil Kapoor is playing a Muslim man in his next film. And, he is very excited about his film with Sanjay Gupta’s film Shootout At Wadala.
He said, “Since I have never played such a character, I had to work hard to prep for the role.”
In has last film ‘Race 2’, Anil played cop role, but he said Shootout At Wadala is different project. He said, “In Gupta’s film my character doesn’t even know how to talk English!”
He said, “When you are working on the international platform, the bar raises naturally. There is a lot of detailing that goes into shaping a character and that also reflects in the way I dress now.”
