India England 3rd ODI: India beats England by 7 wickets

Indian captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to field first in the 3rd ODI against England, and the first international match played at HEC International Cricket Stadium Complex, Ranchi, Dhoni’s home ground.

Indian bowlers has proved their ability today with spinners striking from the front, last match hero and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bowled superb spell of 6.2 overs taking 3 wickets for 19 runs. R Ashwin bowled his ten overs for 37 runs taking 2 wickets and Suresh Raina took one wicket in his one over.

The England cricket team was unable to build any strong partnership and bowled out for just 155 runs.

Batting second, India once again got to a bad start as opener Ajinkya Rahane was out for a duck and Gautam Gambir made 33 runs. Virat Kohli is back with a striking 77 runs from 79 balls with 9 fours and two sixes. Yuvraj Singh played 30 runs with 6 fours.

But, the highlight of the match was the hitting runs scored by local boy and captain cool, MS Dhoni. MS Dhoni made just 10 runs but his presence at the center was felt loud by the 40,000 crowd.

The two teams will now fly to Mohali for the 4th ODI to be held on January 23.

India: 157 for three in 28.1 overs (Virat Kohli 77 not out, Gautam Gambhir 33; James Tredwell 2/29).
