As per the latest reports, Radiohead have called off a concert in Canada after one person was dead when part of the stage collapsed during rehearsals.
Further, it is said in reports that four other people were seriously injured in the stage collapse incident on Saturday afternoon.
The statement was issued to media by Toronto’s police department.
While talking to media, Police constable Tony Vella said, “A group of people were on stage when the top portion collapsed but that the remainder of the people when they heard the stage coming down, ran from the area.”
Meanwhile, the Oxfordshire band was scheduled to play a sold-out crowd at Downsview Park in Toronto. It was their part of international summer tour.
In a note released on the band’s website, it said, “Due to unforeseen circumstances the Radiohead show at Downsview Park tonight has been cancelled.”
It further said, “Fans are advised not to make their way to the venue. Refunds will be made at point of purchase. Further information is to follow.”
