The well-known Punjabi Singer Kuldeep Manak has passed away after a prolonged illness.
Kuldeep ji was considered as the heart beat of Punjabi Bhangra. His real name was Latif Mohammed and he was born on 15 November 1949. The singer was also better known for singing a genre of traditional Punjabi songs called Kaliyan.
Meanwhile, the Legend singer was being treated at a hospital in Ludhiana, Punjab after suffering kidney problems. He had been admitted into hospital last week after contracting pneumonia.

As per the fresh business reports, it is said that the United States has welcomed India’s decision to allow foreign direct investment (FDI) in the multi-brand retail sector. The report released by US authorities has said that such economic reforms will help to improve business-to-business ties between the two nations.
While talking to media, Mark Toner, an official of State Department said, “We welcome India’s decision. We think economic reforms, such as these, will further strengthen business-to-business ties between our two countries.”

As per the latest reports from Business, the Indian rupee has reported a decline of around 15 paise to Rs 52.17 per US dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange today in the middle of growing demand for the American currency from importers.
Additionally, there was pressure on the Indian rupee due to a weak opening in the equity market.
While talking to media, a dealer said, “Month-end dollar demand from importers and a lower opening in the equity market mainly weighed on the rupee sentiment.”

According to the fresh reports from the world of cricket, Indian medium fast bowler Praveen Kumar has been ruled out of the upcoming test series against Australia after fracturing a rib.
The declaration was made by an official from the Indian Cricket Board.
While talking to media, an official from the board said, “Praveen Kumar underwent a scan last evening and was found to have a featured rib as per the report that came through today.”
Further, talking to media, he said, “he is expected to recover in five-six weeks and has therefore been ruled out of the ongoing one day series against the West Indies as well as the Test series in Australia that follows.”

According to the fresh news, the Indian rupee has raised by 35 paisa at Rs.51.90 per US dollar in the early hour’s trade on Monday morning on new selling of the American currency by banks and exporters prejudiced by dollar falling in a foreign country markets in the middle of a rally in household equities.
However, the rupee resume higher at Rs.52.06/07 per dollar on the Interbank Foreign Exchange, as not in favor of last weekend’s close of 52.25/26 per dollar, and encouraged up added to Rs. 51.90 per dollar before quoting at Rs. 52.08/09 per dollar at 1030 hours.
The home currency stirred in a collection between Rs. 51.90 and Rs. 52.13 per dollar at some point in break of day deals.

According to the latest news, Australian film maker Phil Noyce has recently said in an interview that the world has suffered from very few films made on cricket. He told media that he would like to make an India-Australi-Pakistan co-produced cricket film, if the money permits.
The Australian film maker Noyce was honoured with a retrospective at the 42nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), and was addressing to media during the event on Sunday at the festival venue.
While talking to media, he said, “We need to make more movies on cricket. The world suffers from fewer films on cricket. The shine of the ball, the texture of the pitch, the swing, the strokes, all need to be captured in films.”
