As per the latest reports, the Supreme Court has today dismissed a plea filed by dentist Nupur Talwar seeking bail and review of its order of allowing her criminal trial in the twin murder case, the so called Aarushi Hemraj Double Murder case.
It is said in reports, a bench of Justices AK Patnaik and JS Khehar in a short order said in the court that it finds “no merit” in the review petition.
A joint fast move against corruption seems to be a knock of controversies for Yoge Guru Baba Ramdev, losing its focus and converted into criticism of each other.
Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal abrupt the fast and move from the stage while Ramdev started to point out personal remarks against politicians. While Kejriwal left, Ramdev said that his movement was with dignity, not to divert focus from the issue by targeting individuals, in accordance of reports.
Avoiding impact of wide protest against hike fuel prices, Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council Chairman C Rangarajan demanded quick implementation of hike in prices of diesel and LPG cooking gas, in wake to cover all necessary fiscal deficit at 5.1 percent of the GDP during 2012-13.
Mandatory for government expenditures, Rangarajan said, “There is a need to raise the prices because the fiscal deficit can be contained only if we act on cutting subsidies and the most important element in subsidies is the petroleum subsidy. Therefore, there is a need for action with respect to the prices of diesel and LPG.”
In joining hands with anti corruption social activist Anna Hazare, Yoge Guru Baba Ramdev will sit on a day-long fast at Jantar Mantar in national capital today against corruption and black money stashed abroad.
From a long awaited past year, it will be their first joint appearance in front of public on stage via their anti-UPA protests with Ramdev’s Bharat Swabhiman Andolan organising protests.
