Aarushi murder case: SC dismissed Nupur Talwar’s plea

As per the latest reports, the Supreme Court has today dismissed a plea filed by dentist Nupur Talwar seeking bail and review of its order of allowing her criminal trial in the twin murder case, the so called Aarushi Hemraj Double Murder case.

It is said in reports, a bench of Justices AK Patnaik and JS Khehar in a short order said in the court that it finds “no merit” in the review petition.

Meanwhile, Nupur Talwar has said in the court that she does not want a clean chit in the murder case but she would like to have a direction to the CBI to re-investigate the case.

However, the chief intelligence agency of the country, CBI, had strongly opposed her pleas.

Aarushi Talwar, the 14-year-old, was found dead with her throat slit at her Noida residence on May 15 and 16, 2008, and the domestic helper, Hemraj’s body was recovered from the terrace of the house, a day after Aarushi’s murder.

Dentist Nupur Talwar is currently in judicial custody and her husband Rajesh Talwar, also a dentist, is out on bail.

The Aarushi murder case for their trial in the double murder case is pending at a Ghaziabad sessions court.
