While Venus passes between the Earth and the Sun, it will appear as a small black dot traveling from the sun to Earth.

“There’s something very humbling out of this experience,” scientist and author Mark Anderson told reporters while talking about transit. He further added, “The Venus transit really brings home to us, in a unique way, how ordinary our sun is. It’s just another star.”

According to reports, the biggest event starts happen at 6 p.m. EDT in the United States and follows a 6-hour, 40-minute duration. The skygazers of North and Central America, Hawaii, Alaska, eastern Australian and eastern Asia including Japan, North and South Korea and eastern China can see the transit.

However Indian astronomic lovers can catch up it at greatest transit time of 07:01 am while the distance between the center of Venus and Sun is minimum, as per source said.

There are big chances of permanent eyes damage while the greatest transit will see through naked eyes. Sky seekers don’t watch directly at the sun should use telescopes outfitted with solar filters. It will protect eyes from any harmful effect.
