Amid tensed situation in Srinagar triggered curfew in the city on Thursday following the death of a 24-year-old protester in CRPF firing during shootout in Srinagar militant attack on CRPF camp on Wednesday.
A dawn-to-dusk curfew is clamped in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir by the State government to make situation in control.
The incident occurred when CRPF troopers were on its way to SKIMS hospital to donate blood to their colleagues injured in the fidayeen attack in Bemina Wednesday.
It has been said that CRPF opened fire in self-defence when a mob of protesters in Saidapora area near Eidgah in Srinagar pelted stones on them, allegedly killed Altaf Ahmad Wani.
However, some reports also say that no protests were held by the people and CRPF vehicles were not targeted.
There is confusion over the cause of incident as some sources said that there was no stone pelting, not attack on CRPF vehicle passed through the area.
A judicial probe ahs been demanded to called by separatists leaders into the firing incident, source said.
Five CRPF personnel and two terrorists were killed in the gunfight in the playground of a police public school in Bemina, Srinagar on Wednesday when fidayeen attacked a paramilitary camp, while nine were injured.
