Aamir Khan invited to Parliament to discuss medical issues

The host and actor of Satyamev Jayate, Aamir Khan is making headlines nowadays with his latest show. Believe it or not, but the Bollywood actor is going to make his way to the Indian Parliament.

Yes, the 47-year-old actor now becomes the first non-MP Bollywood actor to be invited to the Indian Parliament.

Soon after Aamir’s Satyamev Jayate showed an episode dealing with malpractices in medical profession, Aamir Khan has received an invitation to the Indian Parliament.

Now, Aamir Khan along with his team will be present at the Indian Parliament to present their views on the subject of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the pharmaceutical sector.

Talking to media, a source said, “It’s a matter of great pride.”

Meanwhile, the head of the parliamentary committee, Shanta Kumar has invited Aamir to the Parliament. The source said, “The basic idea is to share the research on the subject of medicines. Aamir is personally working hard on it.”

However, actor Aamir Khan was not available for the comments. But his spokesperson said, “Yes, Aamir has been invited and he would be going there on Thursday.” Minister of state for parliamentary affairs, Rajeev Shukla, however, says he is unaware of any such development. “I am not aware of Aamir being given any such permission. It is not easy.”

On the other hand, the other Bollywood actors who tried to get inside Parliament but could only manage getting till the gates are Emraan Hashmi for a film’s promotion and Rakhi Sawant, who harbours political aspirations.
