BJP’s Manohar Parrikar will be the new Chief Minister of GOA

Today is the celebration day for BJP’s Manohar Parrikar because he is going to be chaired as Chief Minister of Goa as oath taking ceremony will be held in the evening at the Sports Authority of Goa ground.

All arrangements are set for his searing as to take promise solemnly on oath before chair the first-ever cabinet meeting today.

Along with him, seven other legislators would be sworn in as ministers by taking oath during the first round this evening.

Name of BJP Goa unit president Laxmikant Parsekar, tribal leader Ramesh Tawadkar and Dayanand Mandrekar has been included in the list of persons who will be taking oath.

Francis D’Souza and Matanhy Saldanha, two ministers from minority community will include in the first round of oath. Duo was the part of Parrikar cabinet when his government was toppled in 2005.

Although BJP’s Parrikar govt. toppled in 2005, but this year before March 3 polls the entry of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) minister, Ramakrishna Dhavalikar has added their victory by reducing Congress numbers to a single digit in the legislative assembly.

Ramakrishna, who will also be inducted in the cabinet Friday’s evening, was transport minister in Congress-led cabinet and after resigning from Congress, he had fought Goa polls in alliance with the BJP.

Moreover, the expansion procedure in the Parrikar cabinet would be followed after presentation of the state budget, but some special top leaders like Senior BJP leaders L K Advani and Sushma Swaraj will attend the oath taking ceremony.
