On August 7th, a tragic accident occurred as an Air India Express flight from Dubai to Kozhikode, India crashed while landing at the Calicut International Airport in Kerala. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft overran the runway and split into two, causing the deaths of 18 passengers and crew members. The plane had a total of 191 passengers and crew on board, and the remaining passengers were rescued with minor injuries.
