Legendary singer of the Hindi film industry, Asha Bhosle will share the judges chair on the popular singing reality show Indian Idol which begins from June 2012.
Earlier, there were lots of gossips in the media over Asha ji’s joining as judge in the Indian Idol 6 along with Anu Malik, Salim Merchant and Sunidhi Chauhan. But now, it is clear that the 78-year-old legendry singer will be the part of the reality singing competition.
While talking to media, she said, “I am very happy to be part of this show. I really like this show as it provides platform for budding singers. It is a very big show.”
Meanwhile, it is also said in reports that music composer A R Rehman was approached but he could not be the part of Indian Idol due to some reasons. The show will be telecasted on Sony TV.
The legendry singer Asha ji has taken part in many shows as celebrity judge, but Indian Idol 6 will cast her as ‘Super Judge’.
However, she will not be the part of the show during the audition rounds and will join the three judges from the gala rounds. Seasons three and four of ‘Indian Idol’ also had four judges.
In addition, the reality show is set to go on air from June 1 and will be aired on every Friday and Saturday.
