Rahul Gandhi1 150x150 Live: IAF refuses to fly Rahul Gandhi in AssamAccording to latest reports, the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was forced to change his travel plans after the Indian Air Force [IAF] sis not allowed his to fly from Kokrajhar to Guwahati due to bad weather.

Rahul Gandhi was on a one day visit to Assam and was expected to meet the victims of ethnic violence in relief camps. Further, Rahul Gandhi was also scheduled to have meeting with Bodoland Territorial Council leaders on the prevailing situation in Assam.

Meanwhile, Rahul was not allowed to fly to Guwahati due to bad weather, state chief minister Tarun Gogoi was also with him.

An official statement issued by the IAF office in New Delhi said, “Rahul Gandhi had wanted to fly to Guwahati urgently for a meeting there but due to bad weather prevailing en route and at the destination, the permission was not given.”

On his one day visit to Assam, Rahul Gandhi visited relief camps and had talks with Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) leaders.

Later, Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President Bhubaneswar Kalita.
