Mamata’s ultimatum, to pull out ministers from UPA
Amid protest against UPA led Congress recent decision to open the door for FDI, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee warned to pull out ministers from the Union Cabinet, just ahead with outside support.
TMC has total 27 ministers – 6 at the Centre and 19 members in Parliament.
Banerjee who had given a 72-hour ultimatum to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for a roll-back the decisions over hike diesel price and allow 51 per cent FDI Mamta in multi-brand retail, is likely to meet with her members and then take a final decision, as per source said.
Her Tuesday meeting would seem to be a “firm step”, against Congress, very threatening, as the Samajwadi Party also in support of TMC and slammed the govt. decision against common man, not allows FDI in its state.
While addressing a protest rally in Kolkata, Banerjee said, the decision came to “sell out everything to satisfy a section of individuals”, which would be oppose by her party at any extend.
“We are not in favour of toppling the government. But they should not forget the ‘Lakshman Rekha’ of the alliance. We will not agree with any anti-people decisions,” she said.
