Punjab Farmers’ protest: ASI found dead in Tarn Taran, tension over mystery

Farmers’ protest over fuel hike has raised tension in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district on Wednesday, taking the life of an Assistant Sub-Inspector.

As per latest reports, ASI Kulbir Singh was dead in Jiobala village in Amritsar when a protesting mob of farmers held the ASI hostage after he went into the village to arrest the farmer’s leaders.

While being tried to stop the angry protesters agitating against fuel price hike, ASI was lost his life.

However, death of ASI was due to cardiac arrest of  a heart attack, formers claimed, source said.

They said that the incident occurred when ASI tried to run away from the protestors, caught with a heart attack and died.

It has been also reported that protesting mob had beaten up the slain ASI.

To know the actual reason of ASI death, the investigation has been called on by Punjab police, reported that few people have been arrested in connection to the case.
