Reliance Digital’s store count increases three times in FY11- 12

Reliance Digital, a leading digital store and a part of the Reliance Retail LTD (RRL) headed by Mukesh Ambani has been on a store expansion mission.

It is now the country’s leading electronic retail store with the number of stores expanding three times in the past one year. The total number of Reliance Digital stores has increased to 75 from 27 stores last year representing tremendous growth.

March 2012 alone witnessed an addition of sixteen new stores to the Reliance Digital total outlets.

Brian Bade, CEO of Reliance Digital said that plans are on the anvil to introduce varied programs and schemes that will strengthen their businesses further.

He believes that it is going to be a great year ahead for them with some major projects in their pipeline that are already set to get underway and have the potential of flourishing their businesses.

Besides, they are also introducing steps to strengthen the brand and create a strong workforce that will enable the consumers to enjoy an enhanced shopping experience.

He further pointed out that they were the only Indian retailer to offer a single window solution for sales and service support across all key brands.

Reliance Digital launched its first outlet in the year of 2007 and has doubled its number of stores every year on an average in the last five years. Today, its stores spread across the country have a display of around 4000 products with around 150 international and national brands.

Reliance Digital is a part of Reliance Retail with Reliance Industries being its parent company .This largest private sector enterprise adopts backward vertical integration as its strategy.

Summary: Reliance Digital is expanding at a massive scale with its store count increasing by three times since last year. This multi brand retail store granting technology products increased its store count from 27 to 75 in FY11-12. The number of its store is known to double every year since it was launched in the year of 2007.
