Shashi Tharoor slams Wharton over Modi’s snub

Praying for Gujarat CM Narendra Modi’s name in the list of Wharton Forum’s invitation, Congress, Union Minister Shashi Tharoor on Wednesday said Wharton India Economic Forum should not have snub Modi.

Tharoor suggesting WIEF to go head with Modi’s speech, throwing one of the toughest job to Modi answering students “challenge” in form of questions after hearing him out, reports said.

In a sharp attack, Minister of State for HRD said students should hear Modi and then grill him with tough challenges on various issues which ultimately make his disinviting moments.

Modi had invited by WIEF to deliver an address via video conference on March 22-23 programs, but later cancelled.

Various names has raised after that including Aam Aadmi party Arvind Kejriwal, but still no announce has made of a replacement for Modi.

It has been reported that Tharoor was also invited to address the keynote just six-seven weeks ago, but the minister said that he had rejected to ho there as due to his Parliamentary priorities.
