Congress- led UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi is the strongest woman ranked at top of the list of “20 Most Popular Women in India in 2012”.
On the eve of International Women’s Day, a survey conducted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM) India and Zee-Business.
Sonia Gandhi in the top position followed by ICICI Bank chief executive officer Chanda Kochhar.
From polices, the name of the strongest rival of Congress Chief as women politician Sushma Swaraj was ranked at 16th position followed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, reports said.
Around 2,000 working women in 11 sectors were surveyed in various cities and voted, to whom Mrs. Gandhi left behind.
Among the, India’s first women IPS officer Kiran Bedi was also included ranked in 10th, Bollywood actresses also took a space in the list including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 5th position and Vidya Balana at 7th.
From the business banking sector, Pepsico Chairperson and CEO Indra Nooyi, Axis Bank MD and CEO Shikha Sharma are those at top figure in the list.
