A major setback of the intensify crisis on Telangana statehood, Congress MPs from the region have threatened to resign as parliamentarians and party members on Tuesday.

Congress MPs asked party president Sonia Gandhi to take immediate decision on formation of a separate state in a week, as per a letter sent to Sonia by MPs.

They also said that if party failed to call Telangana statehood, then would ready to accept their resignation.

Meanwhile, for Congress ‘Telangana’ issue seems to be a more violent as Congress MPs who ready to resign the party have to set a fresh “deadline” for the high command which would lead to a fresh crisis.

Amid violent protests were reported in which the Osmania University students and Telangana Joint Action Committee activists were taken into custody by Police, tried to protest despite ban on Indira Park.
