US-based Starbucks to open first outlet in Mumbai

Starbucks Outlet 150x150 US based Starbucks to open first outlet in Mumbai Good News for Indian, finally the international Starbucks outlet will going to open in India very soon or in next month as US-based Starbucks Coffee Company today announced to launch it’s first store in Mumbai.

Earlier the company has come up in a joint 50:50 partnership with Tata Global Beverages, in which both group are of equal partners, named Tata Starbucks Ltd Company, said to launch first outlet in Horniman Circle in downtown Mumbai, featuring espresso sourced and roasted locally.

Avani Saglani Davda who posted as Vice-chairman for marketing and business development at Tata Global Beverages now has appointed as the CEO of the Tata Starbucks Company.

“We have worked very hard in creating this partnership with the Tatas and will leverage the credibility and trust of the Tatas with our global brand,” Starbucks China & Asia Pacific President John Culver, told media persons, adding, “We are delighted to be able to announce our progress toward opening our first store in India and to introduce locally sourced espresso.”

Highlighting its preplan announcement to open 50 stores by the year, the company ensured by saying that they “will be opening a series of stores” that would also push up in Delhi too by early next year.

Confirming Starbucks outlet in Delhi, Saglani, new CEO of Tata Starbucks, said that the company will open outlet ‘at the heart of the city in the commercial capital of Mumbai and Delhi.’
