Shocking but its true, by the end of the summer on September 21, the Google Maps team reviewed all the data that users searched for on Google Maps during this summer to cool themselves in these hot days.

All the information that users search to connect with the world for spending holidays such as finding historical visits, queries related to booking tickets and many more, has been collected by Google to give a hint about how and where the Northern Hemisphere people have spent their summers.

As per reports, the mostly people are searching tourist destinations which are at top of the list in Google maps search specially in summers, for tourist attractions, followed by railways, metro related queries and religious places.

Google marks Yamuna Expressway as the most popular landmark of searched by Indians which passes within 1.5 hours from Greater Noida to Agra, india’s best top tourist place, followed by Kerala, Taj Mahal, Vaishno Devi, Shirdi, Gateway of India and Leh in the top popular list of landmark.

“Within each country, a look at some of the top-rising searches and the often-searched landmarks on Google Maps gives us a sense of how people around the world spent their summers,” Sr. Product Manager, Google Maps, Manik Gupta told reporters.
