Pervej Ashraf 150x150 Zardari Graft Case: Pak Premier revokes AG’s 2007 letter to Swiss Breaking News, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf directed authorities to make invalid a former Attorney General Malik Qayyum’s letter written in late 2007 to Swiss authorities in sake to close of graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.

Axing on Zardari, Pak PM, as per report, was presented before five bench of justice in Pakistan’s Supreme Court today morning, facing a contempt charge for delaying SC order to ask authorities to reopen graft cases against Zardari.

In front of apex court where several ministers and leaders of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) presented, Mr. Ashraf said as per his commitment, he would surly find a solution over issue of the graft cases.

Reports said that, the Premier further clarified that after reviewing all sensitive matter, he directed Law Minister to revoke latter wrote to Swiss authorities to close the graft cases against Zardari and his slain wife, former premier Benazir Bhutto that benefited several related politicians.

Meanwhile, before submission of draft letter by Law Minister to Swiss authorities, the letter would be presented to the apex court and after that the next proceeding will follow.

The apex court has adjourned the case till September 25, after an appeal of more time to be relieved filled by Ashraf for sending draft of the letter to the Swiss authorities. Not more than 2 days relief would be given to govt. as court wants immediate action on issue.
