The Dabangg Salman Khan once again making news, but this time not for his films and other activates. This time has is accused of buying a residential property in Bandra (west) at a highly inflated price to cover up floor space index (FSI) violations.
Meanwhile, the allegations on the actor were made by former IPS officer and RTI activist YP Singh.
The property registration documents show that Salman Khan acquired the flat at Rs 1,86,000 per square foot, which in real seven times more as compared to the real price of the property in that area.
Documents presented by YP Singh of property registration and stamp duty papers on Thursday whish shows that Salman has bought a 1,079-square feet 11th floor flat in the building for Rs 20 crore.
It also show that the actor paid a stamp duty of Rs 1,64,20,100 on this purchase.
YP Singh alleged major FSI violations, he said, “A residential property of the same size is available in the surrounding area of Bandra for about Rs 3 crore, but why has Khan paid Rs 20 crore for it?”
Mr. Singh said, “He did so because he has actually been given an apartment of about 8,000 square feet, out of which over 6,900 square feet area has been taken from the common FSI awarded to the housing society for parking , staircases and other facilities . This is a clear violation of BMC’s FSI rules. The documents prove the violation, so action must be taken.”
