The Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has recently said in an event that social activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal should prove himself instead of criticizing others.

The actor joined Anna Hazare campaign at New Delhi,. He was talking to media at a programme at Ujjain Press Club.

Anupam Kher said, “The time is over now for Kejriwal to oppose others, he should perform to prove himself.”

The actor said, “Corruption is the biggest menace to the country and it is constantly growing.” He said that he has no plans to join politics. He said that he do not agree with Baba Ramdev’s view that Ajmal Kasab should have been hanged in public.

Further, Anupam Kher was awarded with the Kalidas Samman on Sunday and he announced to donate Rs 2 lakh award money to the local drama artists.

However, ANupam Kher got angry over the question of the distribution of the amount and said that the best performance should be awarded.

He said, “I was shocked when someone stated that the distribution might attract queries under the RTI.”
