In yet a major development, Karnataka Police has detained three persons in Tamil Nadu having alleged connection in the recent bomb blast outside the BJP headquarters at Malleshwaram in Bangalore.
As per media information, in a late night operation, two were arrested from Tirunelveli from a lodge in Chennai, while third was from Madurai.
Reports added that the trio had facilitated the blast while the main culprits were still at large.
The arrest is being held with the assistance of Tamil Nadu counterparts, and now the suspects are taken to Bangalore for further investigation, sources added.
On April 17 when Karnataka top BJP leaders went to office for filing nominations for the Assembly elections, a bomb plotted on a parked motorcycle blast near the office, left 16 people injured.
