Mystery of Bitti Mohanty, a rape convict absconding on parole for over six years, has all sorted when police matched finger prints and identified that Raghav Rajan is the Bitti.
A five-member team of Kerala Police matched his finger prints and examined records in Rajasthan’s Alwar jail which identified that suspect in their custody is Bitti Mohanty, Jaipur police commissioner B L Soni told reporters.
Police visited at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar, where Bitti finished B.Tech in 2004, and Cuttack’s Stewart School and Christ College in wake to identify certificates which proved to be forged in the name of Raghav Rajan, reports said.
Source hinted that today Bitti will go back to Kerala with Police where he was arrested with a fake identity, and once again investigations have been handed to Kerala Police.
The 30-year-old Bitti Mohanty the son of the former Odisha Director General of Police B B Mohanty was a convict of rape case of a 26-year-old German tourist in Alwar, Rajasthan and sentenced to seven years of imprisonment.
His father helped him to jump a 15-day parole which allowed him for meeting his ailing mother in 2006 and since then Bitti was absconding.
Earlier, on the complaint by a bank where he worked using a fake identify Police suspected him and arrested in Kerala on March 8 charged with impersonation, forgery and cheating.
