Asia Cup 2012: India v/s Pakistan, Pakistan will bat first

The big day is here, when the two big cricket playing teams are all set to face each other, yes, the day has come when India and Pakistan will once again face each other in the match at Mirpur in Bangladesh.

Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq has won the toss and elected to bat first.

The arch rivals are playing their league match for the Asia Cup. Pakistan team has already made their way into the finals and India have to win the match today. It is a do or die game for India.

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has made 100th hundred in the last match against Bangladesh at the same venue, but India lost the match by 5 wickets.

Cricketer Yuvraj Singh discharged from hospital

The best news for the cricket lovers and millions of fans of Yuvraj Singh is that he was discharged from hospital today after accomplishing the third and final phase of chemotherapy to recover from a rare germ cell cancer in Boston, USA.

Cricketer Yuvraj Singh posted on his social networking site, twitter, “3rd chemo cycles over, back from hospital n I am free. Road to recovery starts now. Can’t wait to be back home.”

He further writes on his wall, “Thank you 4 all ur love n wishes from the bottom of my heart I’m sure they have worked well with the doctors therapy.” Read more

I am not god, says Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar, the so called god of cricket, who yesterday achieved another landmark as he is the only batsman in the world of cricket to score 100 international hundreds.

Though, India lost the match to low ranked team Bangladesh by 5 wickets, but Sachin has finally got the 100th hundred in the match played at Mirpur here in Asia Cup series.

Talking to media, after loosing the match to Bangladesh, Sachin said, “I am not God. I am Sachin Tendulkar.”

He said, “Yes, I have to be honest. I am human and I have emotions so I was frustrated. It does play on your mind.” Read more

Asia Cup 2012: India 226/2, Sachin completes 100th Hundred

World cricket champions of 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, India, is playing their second match of the Asia Cup series against the home side Bangladesh at Mirpur today.

The captain of the Bangladesh cricket team, Mushfiqur Rahim has won the toss and elected to bowl first against India.

India started their batting with opener Gautam Gambhir and master blaster Sachin Tendulakr. Gautam Gambhir was first to go as he was bowled on 11 runs.

Shafiul Islam was the bowler and Gambhir had inside edge and the ball hits the stump. Read more
