On Friday, Rita Bahuguna Joshi met Congress president Sonia Gandhi to offer her resignation owning her moral responsibility for the failure of the party in the polls.
Talking to Media about asking reasons of her resignation, Joshi said that there were reasons for the party’s crushing defeat in the Assembly polls and she has owned the responsibility for the defeat and offered to step down.
