Sushil Kumar to led India’s Flag-bearer at London Olympics
The bronze medal winner Indian wrestler at the Beijing Olympics, Sushil Kumar will now led India’s flag at the upcoming London Olympics 2012 Games’ opening event on July 27.
The announcement was made to media by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) acting president Vijay Kumar Malhotra that wrestler Sushil Kumar has been selected for the honour after due consideration. Read more
In blow of controversial London trip, Suresh Kalmadi, chief of sacked New Delhi Commonwealth Games Organising Committee followed a move against Sports Minister, saying he will witness London Olympics.
“I have every right to attend the Olympics. As president of the Asian Athletics Federation, I have been invited by the International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF), of which I am also a council member.
