This quake is measuring of 7.6 on the Richter scale rocked the country’s northern Aceh province.

As per source report, the province hit up at around 01.30 a.m by the tremor.

Measures the epicenter of the quake was triggered at a depth of 10 km under the seabed and at 350 km southwest of Meulaboh town.

All people living in Meulaboh and Ulele towns have been urged to keep away from the coastal areas and have started shifting to some safer areas up to one kilometre away. Read more

China successfully launches remote-sensing satellite

According to science field report, China launched a high-resolution remote-sensing satellite for civilian use on Monday.

This satellite is launched from its Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in Shanxi province.

A statement released from the centre, “The satellite – Ziyuan III satellite – is tasked with offering services to aid the country’s land-resources surveys, natural-disaster prevention, agriculture development, water-resources management, and urban planning.”

With 2650 kg weight, above 500km of the earth the satellite entered an orbit about 12 minutes after it was launched. Read more

Pakistan: Taliban kills 15 Kidnapped soldiers

Near the Afghan border on Thursday, The Pakistani Taliban has killed 15 kidnapped troops in revenge for military operations against them, vowing further such attacks.

A Taliban spokesman reported that the Pakistani forces have targeted the northwestern Khyber tribal region’s militants for more than 4 years.

In a statement, Ehsanullah Ehsan, a spokesman for the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), said, “This is revenge for the killing of our comrades in Khyber by Pakistani forces,”

“We will soon take revenge for other operations too,” he added.

In the Thal area of the northwestern Hangu district, near the porous border with Afghanistan, 15 bodies were founded with signs of torture and gunshot wounds. Read more
