Champions Trophy: India records 4-2 win over New Zealand

According to latest news from sports, the Indian hockey team has recorded a superb an early self-goal to prevail 4-2 over New Zealand.

The Indian hockey team has now moved on the top of Pool A in the Champions Trophy hockey tournament here in Melbourne on Sunday.

With this win, Indian gains six points from two matches and is the only unbeaten team in their pool. On the other hand, England beats Olympic champions Germany by 4-1 earlier in the day.

Indian hockey team hits four goals against New Zealand. Goals from Akashdeep Singh (10th min), Gurwinder Singh Chandi (14th), V R Raghunath (25th) and Danish Mujtaba (65th) helped India to record 2nd win in the tournament.

On Saturday, India beats England by 3-1 in the opening game. Nicholas Wilson of New Zeland hit the 2nd goal in the 37th minute.

India will take on Olympic champions Germany on Tuesday.
