As per reports, Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kirit Somaiya demanded a probe by CBI, alleged Rahul Gandhi’s political aide Kanishka Singh in the AgustaWestland 101 helicopter deal.
In a letter wrote to CBI, Somaiya said that Emaar MGF real estate company owned by Kanishka Singh’s father who is close to Rahul Gandhi benefitted from the chopper deal.
Reports added, Emaar MGF Land Limited has refused to have any little part in the controversial deal. It also cleared not to have any link with its director Guido R Haschke – one of the alleged middlemen in Italian Chopper deal.
BJP has demanded CBI inquiry within time limit under court supervision and should have to find details over the major issues raised into the VVIP chopper deal which helps to convict the accused.
UPA is sparing itself into the VVIP chopper scam even kickback has been proved by Italian investigation agency, party spokesperson Prakash Javdekar told reporters.
VVIP Chopper Deal is now auditing by CAG after the Ministry of Defence on Friday initiated action to scrap the deal with AgustaWestland for 12 VVIP helicopters and issued a showcasue notice to the Italian firm to explain within seven days the bribery charges in the case.
