A major statement, came out from CBI’s FIR that hit Indian Army into crisis, Former Air Force chief SP Tyagi involved in 3600 cr Italian Chopper scandal to set the tender in favour of Finmeccanica subsidiary AgustaWestland.
The CBI team launched raided in the house of SP Tyagi following an FIR against him with charge of cheating and conspiracy, while no reports over his benefits through bribe in VVIP Chopper deal case.
Along with Tyagi, FIR has also hit out the names of 11 people including Tyagi’s Cousins Julie and Docsa who are alleged received bribe from their associates of European middlemen Carlo Gerosa and Guido Haschkhe, source said.
It added that both middlemen were benefitted of 400,000 Euros as commission to succeed the deal, out of which 100,000 Euros allegedly went to the Tyagi’s cousins.
Two top name of Satish Bagrodia, brother of former Union Minister Santosh Bagrodia and Managing Director of IDS Infotech respectively, has also raised in the AgustaWestland chopper deal case.
The former air chief was grilled for questioning for atleast two hours over allegations of following the Italian probe report detailed exchange of money.
Earlier agency received the report alleged that Haschke admitted to have met SP Tyagi for six-seven times, denied by Tyagi.
