Day 3 of Anna’s fast: apologise reporters, blames editors

Turning from its slash, round of Day 3 of social activist Anna’s indefinite fast started in MMRDA grounds today in Mumbai with lots of sounds of verbal attacks.

The Broadcast Editors’ Association (BEA) has demanded an apology from Team Anna because his supporters strongly condemn attack on mediapersons at Anna’s fast venue on Monday evening.

The association announced that “the media is discharging its legitimate duty of covering the agitation in a fair manner”, stressed on an immediate apology for the misbehaviour by its supporters.

Shuffle took place while Team Anna’s supporters reacted over this move and shouting anti-media slogans, “Na media se na sarkar se, desh chalta hai janta se”, while Anna Hazare asked his supporters to go ahead protest in a non-violent way, left it on media whether they cover the agitation or not.

He admitted that he is ready to apologize and he did as his fight is against corruption not anyone else.

“I apologise on behalf of my supporters and team,” Anna said during agitation and added, “Media and we have to work together to strengthen democracy. I request all not to misbehave to media from next time. If any such thing happens in future, I will stop my agitation, there and then.”

But, for the whole controversy, Arvind Kejriwal blamed editors of media, not to reporting the coverage while reporters are covering the protest.

Shockingly, while asking from top profile member of anti –corruption committee, Kiran Bedi about the recent controversy between Anna’s supporters and media, she has completely refused to say anything and said, “I am not aware. I was not there. Let me go on site and see what is the feedback.”
