A suspected terrorist Liaqat Ali of Hizbul Mujahideen operative has been arrested from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh on Friday who had in plan to target Delhi ahead of Holi, reports said.
Liaqat Ali alleged a hardcore terrorist well trained in Pakistan was brought to Delhi by Kosi Express when he arrested, police sources said in a statement.
The suspected operative was produced in a court yesterday which sent him to police custody for 15 days.
After interrogation, he confessed to keep huge weapons in a guest house in a Central Delhi locality for plotting the terror.
Police raided the Hazi Arafat guest house in Jama Masjid area of central Delhi on Thursday night where the India vs Australia Test is underway, source said.
They had apprehended two men and recovered one AK-47 rifle and a cache of ammunitions, however questioning is carry on from them, it added.
