Uttar Pradesh’s “goonda raj” came in light once again after notorious food and civil supplies minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya resigned following alleged charges for murdering Deputy SP Zia-ul-Haq.
The complaint filled by Haque’s widow who protesting publically and accused Raja Bhaiya to kill her husband , a state police service officer in Kunda in a planned manner, reports said.
Meanwhile, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav who met with victim’s family promised a CBI probe into the case. He gave two cheques for Rs 25 lakh each to Haque’s family, promised jobs for Haque’s widow and younger brother.
As per source, during protest, police officer’s widow demanded if CM did not come to her village and promised a CBI probe, she would commit suicide.
The burial procession of Haque’s body in Kunda’s Balipur village, made after CM reached and assured a probe to grieving family.
FIR has been registered against Raja Bhaiya accusing the minister of conspiracy, including two other persons and police assured that arrest will be made if there is evidence to nail Raja Bhaiya.
Earlier as the news spread, Assembly reacted shortly, the opposition demanded resignation of Yadav criticizing for failure to curb lawlessness in the state by his own ministers.
Denying the murder charges, source said, Raja Bhaiya said, he was not scared to go to jail, but “Some people wanted my ouster as minister. They succeeded in their plan. But now the real murderer of CO, Kunda will never be punished.”
