In yet twist in the Geetika Sharma suicide case, her mother also committed suicide on Friday.
Geetika Sharma’s mother committed suicide six months after the former airhostess committed suicide because of alleged “harassment” by former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda. Anuradha Sharma.
Geetika’s mother was in her fifties and took the extreme step this evening by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in Ahok Vihar in north-west of national capital.
Talking to reporters, her relatives said that she was under depression ever since Geetika’s death.
On the other hand, Delhi police told media that they have not found any suicide note from the spot of crime. Geetika Sharma also committed suicide in August last year alleging harassment by Gopal Kanda, presently in jail.
Geetika was working with Kanda’s MDLR airlines and was found dead on August 5 at her Ashok Vihar residence in North West Delhi.
As per so far investigation by Delhi police, it is said that Geetika and Kanda families are well known to each other and had gone on tours and pilgrimage in the country.

Kanda was earlier appointed as Haryana minister of state for home, but he resigned after he was booked under Geetika Sharma Suicide case.
